Partner Update from EVAG

EVAG - the Rotary/Inner Wheel partnership dedicated to working with Somerset Prepared to improve household flood resilience  - is busier than ever following the recent uncharacteristic rainfall.

We deliver flood resilience kit to households  - we have a wide range of items to ensure that we have the optimum kit for each home.

Communities which have not yet linked up with us are invited to email - [email protected] to find out more.

This is the email response from David:

"I represent EVAG,  a charity formed by a partnership of Rotary and Inner Wheel.

We visit homes which are threatened by floods and after discussion with the residents issue kit to mitigate or prevent the effect of flooding.

Our kit can have an effect on flooding up to about 2 feet in height.

We can make a presentation at your village or await a list of threatened households so that we can arrange for members of our team to make an appointment to visit.

We receive grants which enable us to ask for a donation of 20% of the cost of kit which we have issued. The average total cost is £450  for a household, so we invite a voluntary donation of 20% of that sum.

Please call me if you have any further questions.

Regards

David
