Adopt a Salt Bin

There are four salt bins in the village and once or twice a year we need to check their stock of salt. Over the course of a year, the salt can turn into a solid lump, so, as we approach winter, it needs to be made ready to make it easy for anyone with a trowel to use it quickly in icy conditions. This involves chipping it with a spade or pick-axe .

Approx one hour per year over two visits! Would you like to be a 'keeper' of a salt bin?!
